The annual meeting of Weybridge Homeowners Association, Inc. is scheduled for Tuesday, October 9 starting at 7:00 p.m., held in the private meeting room at the nearby Bogey Bar & Grill. All residents are invited and encouraged to attend.

The current Board of Trustees will conduct the annual meeting. There will be live reports from the President, Treasurer, Landscaping, and more.

Dinner Before the Meeting
Residents are also welcome to join us at the Bogey before the formal meeting for dinner. All dinners are on your own, but with your friendly neighbors! For dinner, please plan to arrive between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m.

This week Dublin released a 90-second video giving an overview of the City’s new “Aging in Place” plan, which aims to ensure Dublin is a great community for everyone to live full lives throughout their later years.

As part of the program, there’s an event coming up on Wednesday, October 17 at 7:00 p.m. at the Dublin Community Recreation Center called “Someone I love is Aging… and so am I“, presented by Syntero, a local mental health provider.

BrightView, our landscaping provider, has advised us that they will be mowing a little differently this week due to the recent heavy rains.

They will be mowing this week, but they will be a bit more selective on where they mow. They will mow anywhere that will support it — that is, areas that won’t sustain turf damage from the lawn mowing equipment. Some low-lying or poorly-drained areas may still be too wet or muddy to safely support their gear.

They feel a little long grass — temporarily — is better than rutting up yards and tearing up turf, which could easily become a problem into next year. They’ll resume a more normal mowing pattern as the ground firms up.

You’ll be seeing AEP Ohio in your area in the coming months as we begin installing new smart meters in your neighborhood. It’s a simple process of upgrading the old meter for the new, with a brief power disruption of only a few minutes. Your neighborhood will be notified by mail and phone approximately three weeks in advance of the meter exchange.

Your new smart meter helps keep the power flowing, improves response times and speeds outage repairs. After installation, AEP Ohio will no longer need access to your property to read your meter — simplifying the billing process by eliminating estimated bills. Your smart meter will also give you the power to manage and control your energy usage, helping you save money without sacrificing your comfort.

Did you know there are both laws and rules on the books about how you handle your pet in Dublin, in Muirfield, and therefore in Weybridge, too?

City of Dublin code specifically states dogs must be kept “under control” when off leash in public areas, or must otherwise be on a leash. They don’t mention cats being on a leash because… you know… they’re cats.

Similarly, you may have seen repeated email reminders from Muirfield Village that pet owners — especially folks walking their pets — are required to pick up after their pets when they do their business, if you know what we mean.

These rules and laws are in place to keep Weybridge (and Muirfield, and Dublin) clean and presentable, as well as safe for the pets, kids, and everyone else enjoying our common areas, walking trails, yards, and so forth.

So please: leash your cat — or dog — or keep them under control, but also be sure to clean up after them. Your neighbors will thank you!

Picking up after your dog is not only being a good neighbor, it’s the law in Dublin. It’s also good for the environment—dog poop left on the ground can make its way into our sewer systems during rain events, polluting freshwater supplies.
