
We regret to announce long-time Weybridge resident Mabel Clapp (9117 Muirkirk Dr) passed away on Monday, January 24, 2002. She was an amazing 103 years old. Weybridge celebrated Mabel’s 100th birthday back in 2018.

Mabel was born to Italian immigrants Peter and Virginia Fiori at the end of World War I. She lived her whole life in central Ohio, growing up on the west side of Columbus and later in Upper Arlington and Dublin. She graduated from West High School in 1936, worked at Mills Buffet, where she met her husband Ferdinand. She retired from Huntington National Bank in 1988. She influenced three generations of her family through her devotion, quiet strength, and selflessness.
Mabel was preceded in death by husband Ferdinand and daughter Melinda Wolf. She is survived by her son Eric Clapp, her grandchildren Michelle Clapp Hohler, Kevin Clapp, Bethany Wolf Sullivan, Anneliese Wolf Johnson, Susanna Wolf Huffman, and her great grandchildren Corrina, Brock Hohler, Danica, A. J. Clapp, Emma, Jack Sullivan, Mallory, Weston Johnson, and Veronica Huffman.
A reception will be held Friday, February 4, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the John Quint Treboni Funeral Home (1177 W 5th Ave, Columbus, OH 43212). This includes a 4:00 p.m. Prayer Service hosted by Deacon Frank Iannarino.
Mabel will be laid to rest in Sunset Cemetery (6959 W Broad St, Galloway, OH 43119) at a later date.
