Weybridge election in progress, ballots due November 1

Recently all Weybridge residents received a Board of Trustees election ballot by mail. The Weybridge Homeowners Association has 3 (out of 5) seats up for election this year, and we have 3 nominated candidates.

Board members Pamela (Cinelli) Saloom, John Proffitt, and Norm Parrish were all elected to 3-year terms in 2015, so their seats are now up for election. John and Pamela have chosen not to run for reelection, but Norm Parrish is running again along with Weybridge residents Beth Alderson and Pamela Webb. Residents are also welcome to write-in other candidate names.

Official paper ballots must be returned by November 1 by mail using the stamped envelope sent to each residence. The 3 candidates with the most votes will be elected as the new Trustees.

Election results will be posted here on weybridge-hoa.com and will be announced in the December edition of The Bridge.

Below are brief biographies of the 3 nominated candidates.

Beth Alderson

I grew up in Buffalo, New York. My husband’s job brought us to Columbus, Ohio where we ended up putting roots down in Dublin. I can honestly say that we couldn’t have picked a better area. We love Dublin and enjoy living here in Weybridge. One of our favorite things to do is walk around the trails in Muirfield. We also enjoy the restaurants in Shawnee Hills and the shops in the area. I have been a realtor for 15 years with Rolls Realty and I love what I do. My husband works at Wendy’s Corporate Office, with a very easy commute to the office. Our daughter lives in Cinciimati, finishing up her college degree, we are very proud of her.

Pamela Webb

Hello my name is Pam Webb and my husband Karl and I have enjoyed being part of Weybridge for the past 2 1/2 years. We hail from northeast Ohio where I served as Development Director for the Akron Zoo. We moved here to be near our family and to escape northeast Ohio winters! Our daughter Stephanie and her husband Jay live in Muirfield. We are blessed with a beautiful granddaughter Audrey who is 8 years old. I have recently retired from my position as Development Director at the Columbus Children’s Theatre and looking forward to my next big adventure. Karl is a senior division manager with Bridgestone Americas, and when he’s not traveling for work we enjoy traveling together and with frends to new places. We love being part of this community and look forward to being involved in this wonderful neighborhood.

Norm Parrish

My wife Judy and I have been residents of Weybridge for 14 years. Norm has served on the Weybridge Board of Trustees for 9 years. He retired from the Columbus Fire Department after 28 years of service. He worked seven years as a Public Safety Communications Consultant for Franklin County and the City of Columbus Homeland Security before his permanent retirement. Norm was attracted to our neighborhood by its aesthetic continuity and the great pride that its residents take in maintaining its distinctive charm. The natural surroundings and landscapes are one of the most important first impressions he discovered in Weybridge. His goal is to work with the Board to sustain the standards, reputation, and enhance the quality of life of residents and home values we currently enjoy.
